MADDIE Bergeron (Ariel, THE TEMPest)
Maddie is delighted to be part of Saratoga Shakespeare! A 2018 graduate of Interlochen Arts Academy, Maddie currently studies musical theatre at the Manhattan School of Music. Some credits include: Narrator in Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat, Margot Frank in The Diary of Anne Frank, and Sandrine in Almost, Maine.
Leila Bruske (Messenger, king lear)
Leila Bruske is thrilled to be making her debut at Saratoga Shakespeare! She is currently pursuing a BFA in musical theatre at Emory & Henry College. Previous credits include State Fair (Swing), The Wolves (#00), and The Sound of Music (Maria). Many thanks to her parents, her professors, and YTPC.
Max Conaway (Mariner, THE TEMPEST)
Max is an upcoming senior at U Albany with a dual-major in Theatre and Communications. Favorite credits include Stanley Kowalski in A Streetcar Named Desire and Gary Gauger in The Exonerated. Film credits include Sem in Tell Me Why and Chester Blue in Big Love Lil’ Town.
Kami Cooper (The knight, KIng lear)
Kami, a Texas native, is studying theatre performance with a minor in business at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Nebraska Repertory credits include Lord of the Flies, The Serpent, and The Glass Menagerie (upcoming). Other credits include Dry Land with UNL's Theatrix. Enjoy the show and stay cool out there.
Brandon Dallmon (Mariner, THE TEMPEST)
Brandon Dallmann is a rising junior music theater major at Oklahoma City University. Recent credits include As You Like It with the Powerhouse Theater Training Program and Crazy for You and On The Town with the OKCU School of Music.
Beck DAMRON (Ariel, The tempest)
Beck is enthusiastic to be spending his summer with Saratoga Shakespeare! An Arkansas native, he is a Junior Theatre Performance major at The University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Nebraska Repertory Theatre credits: Hair, The Serpent, The Legend of Georgia McBride (upcoming) and Lord of the Flies. Other: ASCAP’s Dust & Shadow musical.
Faye DaviS (Ariel, THE TEMPEST)
Faye is ecstatic to be performing with Saratoga Shakespeare Company this summer! She is a third-year theatre performance major and musical theatre minor at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Previous credits include Crissy in Hair and puppeteer/understudy in Avenue Q, both at the Nebraska Repertory Theatre.
Etienne Giannelli (Sebastian, the tempest)
Etienne is a junior Theater major at Union College. Previous credits include Romeo in Romeo & Juliet, Chrysale in The Learned Ladies, Dr. Stockmann in An Enemy of the People, and Ed in The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime. He hopes you enjoy the play!
Alison greene (ASST. DIRECTOR/ASM, KING LEAR)
Alison is very excited to be returning for another summer with Saratoga Shakespeare Company! She is studying Mathematics and Theater at Bates College. Previous directing credits include Eggs and Stop Kiss. She has also worked as the assistant director for In the Heights and Angels in America: Millennium Approaches.
Clara Hevia (Cordelia, King Lear)
Clara, a rising junior at NYU, is psyched to join Saratoga Shakespeare Company this summer! Credits: Henry VI, Part II (Suffolk/Old Clifford) and Richard III (u/s Prince Richard, Duke of York) with Commonwealth Shakespeare Company. NYU: The Tempest, Dialogues of the Carmelites, Mea Culpa (new musical), Gypsy (upcoming).
Sophie Hurwitz (ARIEL, THE TEMPEST)
Sophie Hurwitz is ecstatic to be performing with the Saratoga Shakespeare Company. She is a Theater and Biochemistry double major at Union. Her previous credits include Cecily in The Importance of Being Ernest, Mrs. Stockmann in Enemy of the People, and Antigone in Antigo Nick.
Grace Hyde-Beyerl (the captain, king lear)
Grace is elated to be performing with Saratoga Shakespeare Company this summer! A Chicago native, she is currently pursuing her BFA in Acting at Syracuse University. Chicago credits include Macbeth, A Comedy of Errors, Ladies In Waiting, and You Can’t Take It With You. Love to M & D. www.gracehyde.net
Jacob Rosen (Mariner, THE TEMPEST)
Jacob is very excited to be a part of Saratoga Shakespeare Company! He is a rising Senior with a BFA in Acting from Syracuse University. Recent credits include Schultz in Circle Mirror Transformation and Barbantio/Desdemona in Othello. In the fall, he will be performing in Shakes-Beer for the Baldwinsville Center for the Arts and Reverend Parris in The Crucible on the Syracuse Drama Mainstage.
Judy Streib (OSWALD, KING LEAR)
Judy Streib is very excited to be performing with Saratoga Shakespeare Company! She is a B.F.A. Theatre Performance Major at Hofstra University. Past Credits include Margaret in Richard III, Pola in Dream of a Common Language, Martha/Sargent in Bury the Dead. Much thanks and love to her friends and family!
Catherine Sullivan (Servant 1, KING lear)
Catherine is very excited to be performing with the Saratoga Shakespeare Company this summer! She is studying theater and mathematics at Skidmore College. Previous credits include Kate in Dancing at Lughnasa, Macduff in Macbeth, and the Emcee in Cabaret.
Adrian Summers (Servant 2, King lear)
Adrian is an aspiring actor from the Bronx, NY and loves working with Saratoga Shakespeare Company! He recently graduated from Hamilton College with a dual degree in Africana Studies and Theatre. Previous credits include Chino in West Side Story, Laertes in Hamlet, and Byron in Fish Kill on Maria Sanchez.
Jonathan Van De Loo (gentleman, king lear)
Jonathan is very excited to have the chance to work with Saratoga Shakespeare Company! He will be studying Theatre, Spanish, and French at Northwestern in the fall. Previous credits include Harry in Mamma Mia!, Jim O’Connor in The Glass Menagerie, Pippin in Pippin, and Gangster #2 in The Drowsy Chaperone.
Taylor Winks (Doctor, king lear)
Taylor is excited to begin her professional career at Saratoga Shakes! She is studying Theatre Performance at The University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Previous credits include Queen Gertrude in Hamlet, Viola in an Abridged Twelfth Night, Nina in Stupid F#cking Bird, Train Rider in Dutchman, and Chillona in La Destreza.
YOUNG THEATRE PROFESSIONAL COMPANY: THE TEMPEST PROJECT
THE TEMPEST PROJECT is a performance event featuring the talented members of Saratoga Shakespeare’s Young Theatre Professional Company. The project reimagines scenes from one of Shakespeare’s most magical romantic comedies!
Our casts will take you through scenes, songs, and company-created acts which are fun and engaging for everyone; no experience with classical text is necessary for this entertaining affair. Following selected performances the audience will play with the cast, through games and coaching, to bring Shakespeare’s timeless words to life. Each performance will have a different cast and a different re-imagining of the story.
Friday, July 26th at 11:00AM and Wednesday, July 31 st at 11:00AM at the Thomas Amphitheatre, at Skidmore College (located behind the Zankel Music Building).
